Safety is more important than Mount Tai. In order to further improve students’ health and first aid knowledge, and train their cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills, on the afternoon of 20th August, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Senior High School Division invited experts from the Municipal Hospital to carry out youth health education and cardiopulmonary resuscitation emergency rescue training, which was presided over by Deputy Director Zhu Yanyan of the Senior High School Division and attended by Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai as well as all teachers and students from Grade 10.
First and foremost, He Kai, Deputy Director of the Municipal Hospital, taught students the knowledge of adolescent health education. To be concrete, with a large number of specific data and examples from life, he told students about a great many health problems they were currently facing, so as to guide them to establish a civilized and healthy lifestyle. Meanwhile, students were advised to not only avoid tobacco, avoid drugs, avoid Internet addiction and eat properly, but also were urged to establish a positive, optimistic and upward outlook on the world and their lives.
Afterwards, Director Zhu Lianghua delivered a lecture on cardiopulmonary resuscitation theory to students. Initially, he stressed the significance of mastering first aid skills. Also, Director Zhu Lianghua taught students how to judge patients who had an accident, after which he meticulously explained the correct implementation methods and specific links of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Evidently, the illustrated and vivid explanation won applause from the audience.
Moreover, after the lectures, the on-site medical staff demonstrated to the students how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and invited students to display on-site cardiopulmonary resuscitation operation, which benefited them a lot.
To sum up, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Senior High School Division attached great importance to life education. More noticeably, this kind of activity is organized every school year in the 10th grade. Meanwhile, the training has achieved the expected results.
